“Signs and symbols rule the world, not words nor laws.”

― Confucius

Do you find similar shapes and forms springing up in your work over the months or years? Do you recognize and feel a kinship with images and symbols from around the world? How do these ancient images linger through time and how do they move in us today? Many of you reached out requesting this kind of workshop series and the timing could not be better to begin a new course.

These sessions will expand your creative vocabulary in the spirit of intuitive scripting, drawing on the history of ancient symbols and cultural connections to find and form a personal symbolic vocabulary. These symbols move in us naturally and spontaneously, sharing an ancient beauty— like wildflowers that flourish without cultural, religious, or economic boundaries.

In this class you will create and bind a personal treatise scroll to hold your visions to the creative experience, a space for your soul self to become a dictionary of your visual vocabulary. This sensuous treasure will bind your work together and continue to feed you into the future.

We all share a basic need for home and hearth, a sacred place where our heart can rest. The Hearth is the Domain of the Great Mother, sheltering all human children. In this workshop you will journey through time and look for your own Hearth Codes: ancient symbols shared through time to feed your creative voice today. We hear the songs of the stars, we walk together on the Earth, we feed and are fed, we see and are seen, we offer our hearts in our work—these shared experiences are encoded in your soul at a deep level and our shared human heritage, your Art Mythos.

Hearth Codes create harmony between your heart and mind, and expand your Art Mythos storytelling and authentic visual vocabularies. That deep place that generates our intuitive scripting brings forth these Hearth Codes to stimulate our souls. We will explore the universal mysticism of the ancient timelines that activate us as creative beings. In this series we will seek the sacred divine mother within us all.
